This media house recently published a story on the alarming number of side chicks and why Najjera is the tactical base in Kampala.

The rate at which Najjera babies are consuming pineapple fruit is like the way a thirsty drunkard will gallop a cold beer to treat a bad hangover—something that has put this fruit in high demand, thus making it expensive on the Najjera markets.

Information emerging from our source indicates that Najjera, a Kampala suburb, has recorded the highest consumption rate of pineapple within the Capital City. This has also created an enormous market.

Our resident reporter has revealed that this has increased the demand and price of this fruit.
The pineapple (Ananas comosus) is a tropical plant with edible fruit; it is the most economically significant plant in the family Bromeliaceae.

Lily Nabaasa, a banker and a single mom of two, described pineapples as a magical fruit to a woman due to their high antibacterial properties that help in the reduction of the growth of bacteria that cause vaginal odour.

Dr. Kenneth Akena, who is a gynecologist in Kampala, said pineapple has a pH level that is close to the natural pH of the vagina, which helps to balance the vaginal pH and reduce the growth of bacteria that causes odour.

Akena added that the pineapple is rich in vitamin C, which is important for a healthy immune system and helps to boost the body’s natural defenses against infection and disease.

“Pineapple contains an enzyme called bromelain, which has antibacterial properties that help to reduce the growth of bacteria that cause vaginal odor. Therefore, most women eat it quite often to enable maintaining a fresh virginal smell,” said Dr. Akena.

Pineapple also has anti-inflammatory properties that help to reduce inflammation and irritation in the vagina, which contributes to vaginal odour.

According to Serena Nyiramatama, a resident of Najjera II, the pineapple helps to naturally cleanse the vagina by stimulating the production of cervical mucus, which helps to flush out bacteria and other debris that cause odour.

“I ensure that every day I consume pineapple because it acts as a natural cleanser for the vagina while stimulating the production of mucus. This mucus keeps me lubricated with a good smell; one of the reasons I have kept this guy for long,” Nyiramatama confessed.

Every evening, Najjera babes are seen flooding local markets, including Mirembe market at the bridge and Najjera II Central market, among others, to buy pineapples every day, while some often stock them for a week in their fridges.
