The Chief Political Commissar (CPC) of the Uganda Police Force, SCP Ubaldo Bamunoba, has directed the immediate reactivation of the sub-county police model to intensify the fight against corruption.
While meeting the police officers from Kiira and Bukedi South regions on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, SCP Bamunoba directed them to actively support community policing in their areas as a means to uphold professionalism and a people-centered approach.
He highlighted the significance of officers and their families’ well-being as the top concern.
Additionally, he said that the purpose of this call to action is to uphold the Uganda Police Force’s mandate to achieve a society free from crime by utilizing a people-centered approach and community policing initiatives.
SSP Kutuusa Marion, the CPC Uganda Police Force’s Staff Officer for Administration; CP Nkore Paul, the Commissioner in Charge of Political Education; and SSP Nakityo Jane, the director of the Formal Education Department, accompanied SCP Bamunoba.
