In a surprising revelation that has confirmed allegations of external influence and financial support, one of the organizers of the flopped ‘March to Parliament’ protest, Cynthia Nyakato who goes by Cynthiechoco on X, has confirmed they received funding from the European Union (EU) to fuel the protest.

In a lengthy X post that she was later forced to delete Nyakato revealed that as organizers of the flopped “March to Parliament” protest that was meant to take place on July 23, they were connected to the EU Embassy in Uganda by Nicholas Opio, an infamous gay rights activist renowned for mobilizing funds from enemies of Uganda to fund dissent.

Nyakato detailed that, through his NGO, Chapter 4 Uganda, Nicholas Opio orchestrated a pivotal meeting between the protest organizers and representatives of the EU, during which the EU committed to providing financial support for the protest, legal aid, and visas for those who would want to run out of the country, support that was expected to play a substantial role in shaping the scale and impact of the demonstration.

“EU informed us of a backup mechanism to fund individual activists and evacuate them if necessary,” Nyakato’s post reads in parts.

However, Nyakato revealed that she got disgruntled when the cunning Agatha Atuhaire jumped on the protest and convinced the EU and other foreign embassies to channel the funding through her NGO, Agora Disclosure.

She added that Agatha used most of the money to enrich herself, which led to the flopping of the protest.

Geopolitical experts assert that the revelation that the EU funded the March to Parliament protest confirms an earlier stated hypothesis that the protest’s true motives were not just a march against corruption but a ground for some global power wielders to push their hidden agendas and cause regime change in Uganda.
