Dr. Martha Grace Ajulong, the Assistant Commissioner of Health Services Pharmaceutical Supply Chain and Logistics in the Ministry of Health (MoH) has stated that holding the Pharma expo will be a tremendous opportunity to market Ugandan pharmaceutical products internationally.
The MoH, in partnership with Exhibitions Trade Services India Private Limited (ETSIPL) and the Pharmaceutical Society of Uganda, is set to host the 3rd edition of the Uganda Pharma and Healthcare International Expo, an event that will create an opportunity for Ugandans to capture the untapped market of the East African Region through Uganda.
According to Ajulong, the event will take place from February 22–24, 2024, at the Multi-Purpose Hall at UMA Show Grounds Lugogo, under the theme “Access point to Uganda’s pharma, medical, and health care sectors.”.
“The Expo 2024 will focus on manufacturers and suppliers of pharmaceuticals and APIs, healthcare, medical technologies, diagnostics, equipment, and devices; health services institutions; surgical equipment; orthopedic and dental departments and agencies; importers and exporters; policymakers and decision-makers; and medical practitioners in the East African region and around the world,” Ajulong said.
She stated that the event will bring together national and international players from a variety of industries to showcase breakthroughs and technology and conduct business-to-business interactions.
Ajulong called upon all business professionals to front innovative technologies by raising awareness, encouraging creative thinking, and fostering long-lasting partnerships.
