Ministry of Health Receives Mobile Vaccination Clinic Donation

The Ministry of Health has today, Wednesday, August 9, 2023, received a donation of mobile vaccination clinics from the Aga Khan Development Network and the German Development Bank.

The two mobile vaccination clinics, worth $240,000 (Shs1 billion), according to Margaret Muhanga, State Minister for Primary Healthcare, will facilitate vaccinations and other operations in rural areas.

“These mobile clinics will play a pivotal role in reaching under-served communities, remote areas, and vulnerable populations, ensuring that no one is left behind both in our immunisation activities as well as supplemental activities like vaccination campaigns,” Muhanga said.


Muhanga also commended the Aga Khan Network on behalf of the Ministry for its contribution to and improvement of healthcare in Uganda.

While handing over the trucks, the German Cooperation stated that healthcare is a worldwide concern and that it does not end at borders.

Thee mobile vaccination trucks will help in the immunisation against TB, Hepatitis B, Polio, Diphtheria, Tetanus, Measles, and Cancer of the Cervix, to mention but a few.
