Four dead, seven injured in the Ngora fatal accident

Police in Ngora are investigating an incident where four people died and seven others got injured in a fatal accident that occurred on July 31st, 2023, at Kabakuli along the Ngora-Kumi road.

According to Oscar Gregg Ageca, the spokesperson of East Kyoga Police, the fatal accident involved a Fuso reg. no. UAV 251 Y loaded with bags of oranges and passengers overturned after losing control killing four on the spot

“It is alleged that the driver of the fuse that was driven by yet to be identified driver was travelling from Serere to Busia via kumi loaded with bags of lemon and more than 20 passengers, lost control, and overturned, killing four on the spot and injuring seven other people,” Ageca stated.

Ageca said that the dead and injured have been rushed to Freda Care Hospital in Ngora district and calls upon the public to be patient as police deal with further investigations.
