Police in Fort Portal have launched a hunt for a suspected lunatic who hacked to death two minors and injured three others in Fort Portal City. The deceased have been identified as Charles Kagaba, 7 and Catherine, 2. Brian Mutegeki, the suspected lunatic injured Komuhendo Brefin, Kagaba Chris and Mutungi Kagaba who were also sleeping in the same house with the deceased on Sunday night. Vincent Twesigye, the Rwenzori Police region spokespers on Monday confirmed the murder and explained that the minors are believed to have been alone in the house at the time of the incident.
“The suspect is still on the run and the killer weapon has not yet been recovered. Efforts are underway to have him arrested,” Twesigye said.
