Following the publication of a USA-Uganda Travel Advisory document on June 12, 2023, Charles Rwomushana, a former intelligence agent with the Internal Security Organization (ISO), accused the US government of being behind the terrorist attacks at Mpondwe. He was speaking on NBS TV’s chat show at the time.

Rwomushana said that the USA was solely behind the attacks and was fully in the know, but did not want to put their citizens in danger, hence the travel advisory document.

According to Rwomushana, the recent USA-Uganda Travel Advisory Extract has urged American citizens to reassess their travel plans to Uganda, citing the imminent threat of terrorist attacks as a means to depict the country as a hazardous destination.

He also argues that it’s not a coincidence that just four days after the travel warning, the ADF attacked the Mpondwe School in Kasese and killed 25 students.

Rwomushana claims that the US is attempting to obstruct Uganda’s economic development as a result of Uganda’s refusal to comply with US demands about the Anti-Homosexuality Act, which was approved in May 2023.

According to Rwomushana, the actions taken by the US are aimed at disrupting all channels of government funding in order to bring about a reassessment of the Anti-Homosexuality Act 2023.

Rwomushana and other political analysts have publicly denounced the widespread acts of sabotage that have plagued the African continent. The United States government and its intelligence agency, the CIA, have faced numerous accusations of perpetrating various atrocities on the African continent, particularly in pursuit of their strategic interests.
