Uganda has been awarded as the best investment destination in East Africa at the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) 2023 in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The AIM 2023 has been held under the theme “The Investment Paradigm Shift: Future Investment Opportunities to Foster Sustainable Economic Growth, Diversity, and Prosperity”.

The award was received by the UIA’s Director General, Robert Mukiza.

“Thank you for the award, which I accept on behalf of Uganda and President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni,” he said.

He encouraged the different delegates who were in attendance to choose Uganda as their preferred investment destination.

The meeting is an initiative of the AIM Foundation, an independent international organization fully committed to empowering the world’s economy by boosting effective promotion strategies and facilitating opportunities for economic productivity and expansion.

The event attracted decision-makers, investors, experts, and academic figures from all over the world who gathered to discuss the shift in the global investment landscape.

The Embassy of Uganda in the United Arab Emirates and the Uganda Consulate in Dubai, together with the Uganda Investment Authority, Uganda Wildlife Authority, and Uganda Free Zones Authority, are participating in the 12th edition of the Annual Investment Meeting.

AIM is a leading platform for investors around the world, and over 170 countries are taking part in this global investment meeting and exhibition where the Embassy has set up a pavilion.
