AFCON Qualifiers 2023: Micho names Provisional squad for Tanzania Double Header

The Uganda Cranes boss Milutin Sredojevic alias Micho has named a provisional squad for the forthcoming double header against Kiswahili neighbors Tanzania.

According to the Uganda Cranes head coach Micho, the named squad is comprised of 30 contingent players and is expected to start preparations next week.

He also stated that Uganda is expected to host her neighbor Tanzania at the Suez Canal Authority stadium on 27th March prior to traveling to Dar es Salaam four days later.

Uganda Cranes boss revealed that the team will enter its residential camp on Wednesday 15th March at Cranes Paradise Hotel in Kisasi before traveling to Bundibugyo on Friday.

And to enhance the bond between the Cranes and Ugandans, on Friday 17th March 2023, the locally based players named will play a regional tour game against Kitara region next week.

The regional tour game will be used as a precursor for the forthcoming double header against Tanzania.

According to the organizers, some of the selected players from the regional tour game will travel to Egypt on Sunday, while the foreign-based players summoned will join the rest of the squad in Cairo directly from their respective clubs.
