Deepak told the president of his plans to use waste from cities and urban areas to make electricity.

The president welcomed him, adding that the manufacture of oxygen gas would go a long way in promoting import substitution and would also be exported to neighboring countries.

“It is an investment that will supply oxygen to hospitals, Some would be exported, which would help with import substitution,” Museveni explained

On waste management, the president observed that it would contribute to ensuring the cleanliness of the environment.

The meeting was attended by the State Minister for International Relations, Henry Oryem Okello; the Minister of Energy and Mineral Development, Ruth Nankabirwa; the Minister of Trade, Industry, and Cooperatives, Francis Mwebesa; and the Minister of State for Investment, Anite Evelyn.
