It’s easy to say we exist because it’s just a set of words to form a meaningful sentence.
Separating words from facts will help open minds out of the box towards the country we are citizens to.
The level of knowledge is higher than the level of ability due to readily available information on the internet and mainstream media. We know what we don’t need and don’t know what we need to know, major in minors instead of majors.
We stand in totally different timelines of continents where our brothers and sisters stand and inform the lands far away and without scaling information to fit in our timeline. They call it “framing” information. A vivid example is the story of South Sudan. For many years it was framed an ethnic/tribal conflict by the International media until it was beyond control. We knew it was political struggle between the two generals.
Standing at a vantage point makes it strong to think that the difference between who we are and who the world around says is based on information never contextualized. For Uganda, only 56 years old with countless differences which surely affect the product of our intelligence to be boldly painted on the front of world media is a plus and more.
Iam widely placing Uganda as the richest country in the world as an establishment to the vast details which will come in the subsequent releases but first we have to compliment every Ugandan for the good work in containing pressure from the world around and within to allow a natural growth and development despite the aggressiveness with which these pressure groups come to us.
Everyone will be quick to show how disadvantaged we are in relation to progress overseas but none is willing lay formulas down to solve the Ugandan unbalanced equations over time. My mother often warned me of people who claim to love more than ones mother. “They often want to eat you,” she says.
Through personal experiences we all start to realize that success of an individual is dependent on self-realization. Individual success will come to contain family success; community and national progress at the top. Self-realization is often a product of time which is fair to say knowledge comes with time; for the longer you stay under the sun, the more things you see in the simplest terms.
If we come to agree that knowledge comes with time, then we will borrow from punch lines like “knowledge is power.” As Ugandans only 56yrs of united tribes or nations are not yet knowledgeable enough to assert power openly. It will be wise if we developed internal strength and abilities and be called the wise ones; in my own way, I relate wisdom to application of knowledge.
We are starting a journey into a timeline of different sequences but we will agree that it’s just the beginning and we are all part of this race withholding the challenges that range from economy, knowledge divide and the fantasies that come with new technology development. Living along the equator enjoying the benefits of a 365 frost free days all year at the expense of pressure groups from worlds not privileged to understand the great wheel of time…we are at the center of it all and together we’ll come to enlightenment. I am not speaking in Parables but the wise of the times will understand my reflections.
This is the 1st of the series from a Uganda Millennial that rather looks at things in a unique way. The next one follows tomorrow on the 26th February 2019
