📌National Drugs Authority has impounded drugs worth Shs104 million and arrested over 30 people during an operation in eastern region. While speaking to the media at Wash and Wills hotel this afternoon, Samuel Kyomukama head of enforcement said the operation was carried out in Bududa, Mbale city, Tororo, Manafwa, Busia, Pallisa, and Kapchorwa noting that the operation targeted pharmacies selling government drugs, those without licenses and with unqualified staff.

📌A 39 year old man of Palatau Parish, Alwa Sub County in Kaberemaido district committed suicide by hanging after allegedly failing to renew his driving permit at the regional offices in Mbale City. Emmanuel Eduku was discovered hanging on a tree near his home on Thursday. According to his wife, Sarah Acabo, he left for Mbale on Wednesday, 9th November to renew his driving permit and was subjected to pay Shs300,000 non refundable deposit. However, during the processes of verification, his particulars didn’t reflect.

📌The Police Savings Association Limited (PSAL) which is the oldest Savings and Credit Cooperative Society in the force has seen its savings grow to Shs16 billion. Speaking during the SACCO’s Annual General Meeting at the Police headquarters in Naguru on Friday, retired AIGP Edward Ochom said despite the trials and tribulations, they have managed to grow the SACCO.
📌He explained that the annual profits for the SACCO have risen from Shs229 million in 2013/2014 to Shs1.2 billion this year.

📌According to residents, Obella Okello Yosaya accused his brother Okello Yosaya of owning a group of thugs and a gun that he allegedly uses to terrorize Mwello Sub-county. 📌Malaba Police Station has confirmed the arrest of Mukibi Sabastian, 22, after finding him with police uniforms and other police materials at Asinge A, Asinge Ward on 10th November 2022. 📌The Mbulamuti Town Clerk, Mutyaba Irene revealed that government had paid elderly persons their monthly stipend for this quarter under the Social Assistance Grant for Empowerment (SAGE). 📌EU Commission president, Ursula von der Leyen yesterday announced a new support package for Moldova, as the impact of war in neighboring Ukraine has sent energy prices skyrocketing. The €250 million pledge of support comes as Moldova faces an energy crisis this winter amid a Russian gas cut off.
The package would include E200 million for energy security, half of which would be provided in grants and the other half in loans. The package would also include €50 million in budgetary support.
