Zaake’s Antics Meant for Political Posturing and Diversionary in Nature

Yesterday, Mityana Municipality MP Francis ZAAKE held a Press conference on his hospital bed in Nakasero were he addressed his supporters in the state of his health amid allegations of torture from security agents.

Zaake was arrested last month for disregarding Presidential directives and risking lives of his constituents by going ahead to distribute food items haphazardly.

For a person who alleged that he couldn’t breath without oxygen and could not see because of eye poisoning, Zaake was in good and strong spirit. He managed a whole hour without interruption to deliberate on the state of Political affairs in the country.

This is not the first time Zaake has done a similar stunt. He has always used his health to accuse the state of torturing him but has always been shy to show evidence. He has always spent long periods of time on the hospital bed but during that time he has also been able to continue politicking.

The other time he claimed to require treatment in the United States but during the trip, he spent his time on press conferences and meetings with supporters and carrying out mobilization the country.

Zaake has always been used by People Power to soil the image of government and portray a state of human rights abuse in the country. The lies have failed to mount to anything tangible as shown by lack of solidarity from his fellow legislators.

It would be impossible for other MPs to look on as one of them was being tortured without rising up in arms. A part from Bobi Wine, few other politicians have been seen on the side of Zaake implying that he is a personal project of Bobi and people Power.

Not even the Speaker of PARLIAMENT found it worthwhile to mention his apparent torture. Many alike have seen through these lies and have not been moved by them. They shall soon run out of steam like those told before.
