Why Minister Bagiire Offered Own Land for NRM Offices in Mayuge

The Minister of State for Agriculture, Aggrey Henry Bagiire, also the Bunya West legislator, has donated his land for the construction of the ruling National Resistance Movement party offices in Mayuge district.

Bagiire, also the Mayuge district NRM party chairperson, handed over the land title of the land measuring 0.0760 hectares to Richard Todwong, the NRM Secretary General, on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, during a ceremony held at the party secretariat in Kampala.

The minister said he offered the land to express appreciation to the NRM party and its leader, President Museveni.

“My family and I agreed to give out this land in appreciation to the NRM party and its leader, President Museveni, for the good things and opportunities we have today,” Bagiire said.

He stated that after the proposed architectural design is approved by the officials at headquarters, he is willing to contribute to the construction.

Todwong, while receiving the title, commended Bagiire for his diligence and dedication to the party.

He disclosed that the party has also obtained land for district office construction in more than 15 districts, including Moroto, Kiruhura, Buhweji, Bushenyi, Kakumiro, Napak, Luwero, and Gulu districts, among others, through contributions.
