UPDF Seeks to Recruit 4,000 between December 27, 2019 to  January 5, 2020

Army spokesperson, Brig Richard Karemire in a statement released on Saturday said that UPDF will recruit 4,000 soldiers between 18 and 30 years in an exercise slated to run from December 27, 2019 to  January 5, 2020.s

Brig Karemire said regular recruits must be adult males and females between the age of 18-25 years and professionals between 18 and 30 years.

“Regular recruits must possess a minimum formal education of Senior Four or Senior Six in sciences. Professionals must possess a degree or diploma in engineering, chemistry and medicine, ” he said.

Brig Karemire said those with vocational training and teachers stand a big change to get enrolled.

He said the process is aimed at replacing thousands of soldiers who have retired from the service.
