UPDATE: Immigration resumes 100% passport productions

The Directorate of Citizenship and Immigration Control has resumed full passport  productions.

On Monday, directorate announced a temporal system breakdown that had affected the operations.

By Tuesday  morning, the breakdown had been restores according to a press release from the Immigration.

“Our Passport system is fully up and running and our production rate is at 100%. We are handling all the backlog and we assure all applicants of timely service,”The release reads in part.

The release further reminded all applicants to respect their scheduled dates of appointment so as to be served effectively and efficiently.

Currently all the regional centres including Kampala, Gulu, Mbale and Mbarara are operational.
