Uganda has hosted the group draws of the 21st edition of the Federation of East Africa School Sports Association (FEASSA) Games 2024 at Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) head offices at GNS Plaza Kampala, Uganda.

The event, which occurred on August 12, 2024, was officiated by Patrick Okanya, the President Emeritus of USSSA, who issued guidelines prior to the draws of the 21st edition of the FEASSA Games.

‘’All disciplines that attract 12 teams and below will be divided into two groups. All teams will play the same number of matches. Countries with four teams will have number 1 paired with number 4 and number 3 paired with number 2. The highest number of groups is two,’’ Okanya said.

Hajji Twahil Kitezaala, the Second Vice President of USSSA, expressed gratitude for the opportunity given to Uganda to host the 21st edition of the FEASSA Games, saying that they are well prepared enough and are ready for the games.

Okanya noted that the games will be played in a round-robin format without a final, adding that the team with the highest number of points after all games will be the winner.

The sports will range from Badminton, Athletics, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis, Swimming, Hockey, Netball, Soccer, Goalball Rugby and Basketball.

The games will take place in Uganda, hosted by Bukedea Comprehensive School and Amus College from August 16-27, 2024.

Emmanuel Habiyambere, the National Technical Director of the Rwanda Schools Sports Federation, and George Omondi, the Assistant General Secretary of FEASSA from Kenya, were among the guests at draws at USSSA offices.
