Security Warns Besigye Against Luring Youth Into Armed Rebellion

After 20 years of launching ever failing and never succeeding presidential ambitions, the disgruntled former Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) President has embarked on luring young Ugandans to join an armed rebellion to topple government, your truly writes.

This is according to the meeting Dr Kizza Besigye held with some group of the RED CARD FRONT youth brigade at the Jeema Office in Mengo Rubaga division on December 10, 2021.

Besigye relocated the RED CARD FRONT to JEEMA office from Katonga road offices which house his people’s government after Chapa Karuhanga who helps him with office space declined to bless the new formation.

Karuhanga who is also a founding member of FDC accuses Besigye of planning to use armed rebellion to take power.

Back to JEEMA meeting, Besigye addressed the youth Brigade who underwent two days of training under the theme “Realizing the Purpose for Transition Through Civil Actions to acquire skills necessary to survive during the struggle for change”.

Besigye informed the trainees that in order to achieve change, he needs fighters with knowledge and who are organized adding that he is approaching final assault.

He called for bravery, commitment, resolve, focus and sacrifice and indirectly hit at BOBI WINE and his NUP saying that those who are cowards “owakatengo” to stay in their bullet proof (Bobi Wine’s new bullet proof car “ and be the entertainer at the so called victory party.

Besigye informed the youth that their mission is to defeat those with guns and regain control over the land and country.

Chapa Karuhanga one of Besigye’s Only Remaining FDC Co-Founders this week said he can’t be in RED CARD FRONT which he has reservations about its lack of coherent ideological line that espoused by all its members.

Besigye’s remarks follows after the Joint Security Task Team actively involved in operations aimed at disrupting and dismantling, the newly created rebel group of the Uganda Coalition for Change (UCFC), arrested over 30 suspects, who form part of the rebel group.

The suspects mostly youth were arrested within the axis of Kiboga, Mityana and Kassanda and attended training in weapons and military drills at the UCFC rebel camps in Wabunyira and Kikandwa villages.

Security forces have always cautioned and warned the youth against joining such hostile groups aimed at causing an uprising or civil war.
