A police officer, identified as Police Constable (PC) Ivan Wabwire, has shot and killed an Indian national at Yako Bank, which is located on Raja Chambers along Parliamentary Avenue in Kampala’s city center.

According to eyewitnesses, two individuals on motorcycles approached the building, where one man dressed in a police uniform entered and shot the victim who worked there.

Eyewitnesses state that the shooting occurred around half past noon.

Preliminary reports indicate that the deceased, identified as Uttam Bhandari, was a director at TFS financial services ltd, a money lending company, who has been lending cash to prominent people around the city.

After the incident, the police officer jumped on a bodaboda and left, a witness states.
