President Museveni: No crime will go unpunished

President Museveni has expressed his displeasure to the assailants that are killing Police officers, other Government officials and other citizens and vowed that they will be arrested and face the law.

President Museveni said this during the Presidential address of Wednesday 27th July 2022 at State House Entebbe.

The President said that no person can commit a crime in Uganda and is not caught given the increased new technology in the country currently.

“Where we are now, there is no way a person can commit a crime in Uganda and we fail to get him. We shall get you, like we have done with ADF rebels, given the increased skills and technology we are using now,” he said.

He also added that investigations and tracking of the assailants in the recent traffic Police officers’ attack in Luwero is in progress and soon the attackers will be arrested and face the law.

“Police sniffer dogs tracked the panga-welding group who were involved in attacking Police officers in Luwero up to where they boarded their car and we shall soon get them. There’s no way you can do bad things and get away with it and think we shall not know you,” President Museveni said.

President Museveni confirmed that there is progress in the investigations of all the murder cases of the Bukwo CAO, the (NRM) Councilor for Kamwokya Parish and the two Traffic Police Officers (Police Constables Ronald Busingye and Josephat Twinamasiko).
