President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has warned unscrupulous traders against price hikes during the Covid-19 pandemic. The President noted that the cost of production of locally manufactured goods and food had not risen and therefore there is no justification for increase.

This warning comes after security in Koboko led by the RDC made several arrests including a number of Indian traders in the district.

The President also warned that he would deploy spies around the country to identify the unpatriotic traders taking advantage of the population.

The President reiterated this again today after security forces arrested some traders around the country.

He also took the opportunity to remind the countrymen to remember to wash hands and avoid being pressured to buy expensive sanitizer as soap with water does a similarly good job at killing the virus.
