President Gives Ugx50 Million to All Saints Cathedral-Iganga

President Yoweri Museveni has contributed the sum of fifty million shillings towards the construction of All-Saints Cathedral in Iganga District.

The money was handed over to the Anglican Archbishop, Rev. Dr.Stephen Kazimba Mugalu, by the Minister of State for Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Persis Namuganza, on Sunday while at Ivukula Anglican Church in Iganga.

“The president has given me Shs50 million as the contribution towards the construction of All Saints Cathedral, and I request the archbishop come and receive the money,” Minister Namuganza said.

Rev. Dr. Kaziimba Mugalu praised the President for his unwavering support for Anglican Churches.

He also commissioned the construction committee, chaired by Kyakulaga Fred Bwino, the Minister of State for Agriculture, Animal Industry, and Fisheries.

The archbishop cautioned people in attendance against practicing witchcraft and called upon Christians to engage more in prayer.

The construction of All Saints Cathedral—Iganga will provide a more spacious room for the churchgoers.
