Police Officer Shots Himself Dead After Attempting To Kill His Boss
A Uganda Police Force (UPF) officer No. 51037 PC Kitiyo Alex attached to Kassanda Police Station has today 24th May, 2023 shot himself dead at 0500hrs at his home, Makokoto Trading Center, Makokoto Sub-County in Kassanda District according to Rachael Kawala, PRO Wamala Region.
Rachael Kawala stated that today morning, Kitiyo woke up and shot several bullets into the room of his in-charge police post Inspector of police John Kakooza without saying a word, then he later returned to his room sat on his bed and shot himself dead.
However, the reason for the action is yet to be identified, and the police is yet to release an official statement on the incident.
The territorial police have registered a case of attempted murder and suicide by shooting and investigations have already begun.
By the time of the publication, a team of Police officers commanded ASP Halera Urban O. c station Kassanda Police Station and the D/CID ASP Mboowa Yasin Galiwango had cordoned off the scene of crime for processing and relevant statements are being recorded to guide on investigation.
