Police arrests two suspects in Kagadi over stealing and slaughtering animals

Police in Kagadi has today morning 20th July 2022 detained two suspected thugs who have been raiding goats of locals in Mairirwe Sub-County, Kibale District.

Police has said that the two criminals are Bada Rwabambari from Kyema and Obed from Nyabinanga-Bwikara in Kibale.

According to Julius Hakiza, the Albertine region Police spokesperson, the duo was followed from Mairirwe and arrested at Nankulabye-Kagadi with meat in sacks.

Hakiza revealed that the criminals have connection with their counterparts in areas of Kagadi and muhorro who they sell meat to after stealing and slaughtering goats.

“These criminals don’t work alone, they have counterparts in Kagadi and Muhorro where they sell meat after stealing goats,” Hakiza said.

The arrested criminals are being held at Kagadi Police station to help Police in the investigations.
