Patient, Attendant Die In Bunyangabu Ambulance Explosion

Two people have been confirmed dead in Bunyangabu district after an ambulance caught fire while rushing a patient to hospital.

The incident happened at Yerya in Kibito Sub County along Fort Portal-Kasese road in Bunyangabu district.

The dead include the patient and the ambulance attendant.

The other two vehicle occupants including the driver sustained injuries and were rushed to Kibito HCIV in Bunyangabu District.

The eye witnesses said that people the ambulance was headed to Kasese transferring a patient to Buhinga Hospital in Kasese.

Police says the cause of the accident is linked to the explosion of the gas cylinders.

Police urges people to follow the road safety rules to avoid such accidents in bid to save lives.
