President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has told a section of local councilors from the National Unity Platform-NUP to embrace result-oriented leadership.
He made the statement yesterday 3rd March 2022 at State House while lecturing the group including a total of 77NUP, 13 NRM, 7 DP, and 1 IND councilor.
The group drawn from the Wakiso district is currently undergoing patriotism orientation.
“I delivered an opportunity lecture to councilors from Wakiso District. The councilors (are beneficiaries of a 5-week training on Patriotism and leadership,” the President said.
He also cautioned the group to put people’s problems ahead of anything else.
“I also implored them to engage in result-oriented leadership, specifically supporting or introducing programs that will bring our people out of poverty,” He added.
President further tasked the group to serve with diligence and patriotism (Omwoyo Gwa Uganda).
This is the second group of NUP mobilizers and leaders being to be trained on patriotism by the government after abandoning their previous political attachment.
