NRM pressure group protests against british parliament

A group of National Resistance Movement activists known as NRM-SOMA on Thursday protested against the British Parliament’s debating of the state of democracy in Uganda.

The British MPs led by controversial labor MP Paul Williams had invited opposition Ugandan MP for Kyadondo East constituency, Robert Kyagulanyi to attend the session that was held on Wednesday afternoon.

The session in the British Parliament however flopped amidst poor attendance and backlash from British foreign minister who insisted that Uganda is an independent country with structures and means to resolve political conflicts.

Local political pundits also criticized and advised Britain which is currently struggling with Brexit to first solve its own problems before it can concern itself with the problems of other nations.

The NRM activist however decided to hold a peaceful protest to demonstrate their dissatisfaction towards the British MPs behavior towards an independent state.

The protest was however prematurely dispersed by Police and three arrests were made. They however later released the protestors without charge.
