NRM Deputy Secretary: Digital Register to Include All Members Nationwide

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) Deputy Secretary General Rose Namayanja Nsereko has emphasised the importance of the ongoing party membership register digitalization exercise that is aimed at creating a comprehensive, computerized database for the party.

Speaking after an inspection visit to the Greater Mukono data center on December 11, 2024, Namayanja explained that the exercise involves transferring data from physical registers which were updated earlier this year into a comprehensive database.

“What we are doing today is entering all that data into our database of all NRM members in the country. And this we do by village or branch, by parish, by sub-county, by constituency and by district,” Namayanja explained.

Namayanja expressed her gratitude to the NRM leaders at the district level for their cooperation in ensuring the smooth collection of the registers, which she noted were in excellent condition.

She also praised the progress of the project, noting that several districts have already completed their data entry. She expressed confidence that the entire project would be finalized ahead of schedule.

Ambassador James Kinobe, team leader for the Greater Luwero Digitalisation Centre, praised the party’s leadership and structures for ensuring the exercise’s smooth execution.

He highlighted the role of training, funding, and stakeholder commitment, assuring that the project would be completed within the stipulated time frame.

The NRM’S inspection visit to the Greater Mukono data center, encompassing Kayunga, Buvuma, Mukono, and Buikwe districts, involved over 1,200 young people working across more than 20 data centres nationwide.
