Government has sent all the secondary school head teachers in Acholi, Lango and West Nile sub-regions to the National Leadership Institute (NALI), Kyankwanzi for a retreat.
They are to undergo a 10 day ideological orientation including patriotism among others.
The retreat that was officially opened by the secretary general of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM), Richard Todwong, on Sunday (August 14).
“I officially opened a 10-day retreat for the Secondary School head teachers from Lango, Acholi and West Nile taking place at Kyankwanzi,” Todwong said.
While opening the retreat, Todwong challenged the head teachers to work towards improving the quality of education in the country.
They will also be educated on patriotism, social-economic transformation, mindset change, civil-military relations, fighting corruption and how to ensure effective teaching of students on a number of developmental issues, including pro-Uganda priorities.
This is part of the routine ideological and patriotism training conducted at the National Leadership Institute for civil servants, among other people by the government.
