Kampala Metropolitan Police has issued a stern   directive prohibiting musicians from moving with large entourages, saying that musicians moving for performances should only be accompanied by five individuals: the DJ, manager, secretary, treasurer, and head of security.

The directive was issued by Patrick Onyango, the Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson during the security presser on January 6, 2025, following a series of recent incidents involving violence and intimidation by musicians and their associates.

“Any musician found traveling with a larger group will be arrested and thoroughly investigated to determine the roles of each individual,” Onyango said.

According to Onyango, the Enkuuka fete organized by Buganda Kingdom on Tuesday December 31, 2024, witnessed ugly scenes as members of Alien Skin’s entourage disrupted the event, causing fear and distress among attendees.

Additionally, he stated that police recorded a case filed by singer Patrick Mulwana aka Alien Skin against singer Pius Mayanja aka Pallaso for raiding his home damaging a number of properties that include house and cars.
