President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has maintained that Uganda’s oil shall be coming out by 2025 as planned.
“Either way, we shall have our oil coming out by 2025 as planned. So, the people of Uganda should not worry,” President said on Friday.
According to President Museveni, Uganda is ready to undertake oil exploration regardless of international sabotage.
“We should remember that Total Energies convinced me about the Pipeline idea; if they choose to listen to the EU Parliament, we shall find someone else to work with,” Mr. President said.
He assured Ugandans that the project shall proceed as stipulated in the contract which government has signed with Total Energies and CNOOC.
His statement stemmed from the remarks made by the Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Thomas Tayebwa and the Attorney General concerning the EU Parliament and EACOP.
