MP Luttamaguzi Battles Prostate Cancer, Asks NUP for Treatment Support

Paulson Kasana Semakula Luttamaguzi, born on December 25, 1979, is the Member of Parliament for Nakaseke South County, representing the National Unity Platform (NUP).

He is currently facing a serious health challenge as he battles prostate cancer.

Luttamaguzi has publicly expressed his struggles in obtaining medical assistance from his party, NUP, despite repeated requests.

His close friend, Kato Alfred, revealed that Luttamaguzi’s health has been deteriorating, leading to frequent hospital visits over the past few months. This situation has also affected his personal life; marital issues have arisen as he has been unable to fulfill his conjugal responsibilities.

Reports indicate that Luttamaguzi’s deteriorated further when he learned that his wife was equally cheating with another man.

Kato mentioned that they are seeking financial support amounting to $81,226.80 (approximately 300 million UGX) for medical treatment.

“Despite suggestions from family members to organize a fundraising effort, Luttamaguzi has reportedly declined this option. We, as his friends, don’t know what to do to either call upon the DP or the NUP,” Kato stated.

Luttamaguzi is the latest NUP leader to be battling illness and struggling to access treatment from his own party.
