MASSIVE: Over 300 Opposition Stalwarts Defect to NRM in Rukungiri

A total of over 300 opposition party members have defected to the ruling National Resistance Movement party, NRM in Rujumbura Constituency Rukungiri District.

The group was received and immediately baptized into NRM political ideological doctrines by the Security Minister, Maj Gen Jim Muhwezi, on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.

According to Muhwezi, the substantial influx of new members is a testament to the appeal and strength of the NRM party.

“The NRM party, unlike other political parties, works with and for the people rather than exploiting the people to achieve personal gains,” said Minister Muhwezi.

He emphasized the importance of the NRM party’s commitment to serving the people and delivering on its promises.

Muhwezi’s message comes at a time when the NRM party is working to consolidate its support and maintain political dominance in Uganda.
