Masaka Kijambiya Gang Should Worry as Joint Security Forces Close in

Joint Security forces have arrested over 38 people in Masaka suspected to belong to a pang wielding gang (Kijambiya) that has killed 25 people in the Greater Masaka Region.

The Masaka Resident City Commissioner (RCC) Fred Bamwine revealed that over thirty eight suspects have been arrested over the attacks and seven of them have already confessed to have taken part in the murders.

Bamwiine urged the residents to remain calm and cooperate with the security forces in order to avert this crime wave.

Police has instituted toll free lines on every sub county in Greater Masaka region for locals to call-in in case of an attack or for sharing information.

He revealed that they have increased security deployment in the area and more patrol vehicles have been availed to respond to the alerts in the shortest possible time.

Uganda’s security forces have on several occasions defeated organised crime and other forms of insurgencies making the country peaceful and stable.
