On 26 October 2019, President Museveni launched his campaign in Kibuye, Makindye division where he met a number of youth from the area Ghetto.

The President also launched the NRM empowerment office for youth living and working in the areas of Kibuye and Katwe.

The office will be a registration point for SACCOs and will make it easy for us to support the youth in their different productive groups.

The president also took the opportunity to appoint special advisor Katherine kusasira as in charge ghetto affairs.

However as with all initiatives by the president, his naysayers jumped onto the critic bandwagon in attempt to hijack the event.

Groups especially those of people power background attacked the presidential initiative to reach to the youth.

People like Bobi Wine long castigated the president over not reaching out to the less privileged.

This latest continued effort by the president to uplift youth livelihood was however well received by those affect ted in the areas.

Bobi wine and his cronies long believed that they owned the ghetto youth and saw it as their base come 2021 elections.

The president has many programs lined up for the youth and less privileged. The youth livelihood and skilling the girl child are a few to mention.

Bobi wine with his chaotic leadership style may be an embodiment of the ghetto, but that doesn’t mean he has solutions to their problems.

President Museveni is indeed the Man of the Ghetto. His track record speaks for it self. Bibi wine doesn’t own the youths in those area and has no patent over the Ghetto word.
