The executive director of Kampala city council authority, Mrs. Jennifer Musisi has commissioned the Kabalagala youth center which has been established to equip young people with skills to give them a competitive edge in the market place.

Speaking at the function in Kabalagala, a suburb of Kampala, Mrs. Musisi noted that youth unemployment stands at 83% according to figures from the African Development Bank and that they had a huge responsibility as leaders to create employment for the youth and that the center would provide an opportunity to achieve that objective.

“Hearing testimonies of these young people trained at the center is very encouraging and it gives me great joy and hope that with such initiatives, we will gradually mitigate youth unemployment for our young people to sustain productive lives in pursuit of their dreams”, she said.

Jennifer Musisi in a letter addressed to the President in September 2018, tendered in her resignation from office after seven (7) years in charge and is expected to leave in January 2018.
