Kanungu radio presenter Anita Tumuramye has dragged her Manager, Nelson Kagote Twinamatsiko to police over assault.

This follows a viral video where Twinamatsiko was filmed assaulting a lady who later came to be identified as Anita Tumuramye.

According to Tumuramye, the incident started when she went to her boss demanding a commission of Ugx 40,000 that is part of the guidelines of the Station for each business brought worth Ugx. 200,000.

Tumuramye said that she secured the school advert on January 26, 2023 worth Ugx 200,000 that was paid in cash, and was entitled to a commission of Ugx 40,000 in line with the station guidelines.

“When I tried to inquire from Twinamatsiko about my commission, he slapped me on the face and I started bleeding in the nose,” she narrated.

She added that Twinamatsiko continued to drag her to the ground as he continued beating her.

Tumuramye says that since it was already dark when the incident occurred, which was captured on video that has since gone viral, she ran home in fear that Twinamatsiko might follow her and reported the matter the following day.

Kanungu Police entered a case of assault under SD REF 23/27/01/2023 and arrested Twinamatsiko this afternoon.

Sources have it that Twinamatsiko last year demoted Tumuramye who was working as a cashier, receptionist, news anchor, and presenter to only anchoring news.
