ISINGIRO: Mysterious Woman Disappears With Stolen Child

Police in Isingiro district is hunting for a woman who stole three weeks old baby from her mother one Busingye Prudence aged 36years.

Busingye is a resident of Kabuyanda central, Isingiro district.

It’s alleged that the suspect who is at large and not known in the area befriended the mother of the victim while she had gone to Kabuyanda Health center IV to visit a friend.

The suspect escorted Busingye out of the health center back home and later vanished with the child in pretext that she had gone to withdrawal money from a mobile money agent to buy chapati for tea in the trading center.

Samson Kasasira, Rwizi region police spokesman confirm the incident saying the hunt is on to arrest the suspect.

Kasasira cautioned members of the public to avoid dealing with strangers and trusting them with personal information or property to avoid being easy targets for criminals.
