Human Remains, Blood Found in Makindye Shrine

Police in Kampala has discovered recovered human remains in a shrine located in Kazinga,Masajja Kibira B village, Masajja parish in Makindye Ssabagabo.

Jiaja Magombe John, aged 50 years is a traditional healer who is suspected to have killed the human beings in ritual sacrifice.

According to the Kampala Metropolitan Police deputy spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire, the raid to the shrine followed intelligence information from locals who suspected shady activities in the shrine.

The territorial Police at Katwe then carried out an intelligence-led operation and recovered suspected human remains, three skulls and a bottle of suspected human or animal blood at the shrine of Jjaja MagombeJohn, a 50-year-old witch doctor,” he said.

Following the arrestit was noted that the shrine was burned to the ground the following night by members of the public.

According to police, all exhibits have been submitted to forensic laboratories for analysis, while the suspect remains in custody at Katwe Police station while investigations continue.
