The Education Service Commission has put out a call for recruiting of staff for 91 Seed secondary schools each requiring atleast 31 staff.
While addressing the media at Uganda media center on January, 3rd, 2025 the Chairperson Education commission Professor, Dr. Samuel Luboga said that the call was put out on 23rd December, 2025 and will close on January 10, 2025.
“The first two weeks of the advert are intended to allow candidates to organize their academic documents which they will submit from Monday 6th February to Friday 10th January 2025 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm” Luboga said.
Luboga further explained that the schools have been organized into ten (10) clusters and that this is intended to ease access to the application process by the eligible teaching and non-teaching staff and each school will receive 31 staff.
“Among the 31 staff we shall have two administrators, (a headteacher and deputy head teacher), six non-teaching staff and twenty three (23) teaching staff for different subjects,” Lubuga added.
The permanent secretary at the education service commission Dr Asuma Lukwago said that willing applicants should apply according to their clusters with in their regions and the exercise will be manual.
“These applications will be received physically and the exercise is free and no one should be charged a single coin for submitting applications and the advert is open to all eligible staff within government services or those serving in the private sector,” Lukwago said.
Lukwago also noted that the exercise of recruitment is estimated to be 1.3 billion meant to be spent on 91 schools which are not government owned schools that need to be equipped with staff and this project is sponsored by world bank and other related project are yet to commence.
