Gov’t mourns fallen Busoga Prince Izimba

Government has sent condolences to Busoga Kingdom authority mourning the death of Prince Patrick Izimba Gologolo.

In a message delivered by the Minister for Presidency, Milly Babalanda on Monday, government eulogized the late Prince Izimba describing him as a Cultural icon.

Prince Gologolo passed on last Friday aged 65 years and was one of the eleven Busoga Kingdom hereditary chiefs.

Minister Babalanda says, late Prince Izimba was a team leader across all spheres of society.

“The death of HRH Patrick Izimba Gologolo, the 25th Ngobi of Kigulu Chiefdom hit us hard as children of the Kyabazinga. He was a cultural icon; receptive, approachable, a team builder across all spheres of society,” Milly Babalanda said.

Ruth Nakayima, the Princess of Kigulu chiefdom says Prince Gologolo passed on from Iganga Hospital after succumbing to skin cancer which he has been battling since 2019.

 The late Prince Gologolo is part of the five royal chiefs from the Ngobi clan who are eligible to become Kyabazinga amongst the eleven royal chiefs who constitute the Busoga Kingdom Royal Chiefs Council.

Busoga Kingdom, Prime Minister Katuukiiro, Joseph Muvawala says the deceased shall be laid to rest on Thursday 1st 09 2022 at Nasuti Village Kigulu North Iganga District.
