The leader of the Alliance for National Transformation party, Gen Gregory Mugisha Muntu has warned a section of opposition politicians against discrediting the cooperation agreement between the Democratic Party and National Resistance Movement.
Gen. Muntu said Ugandans should give the DP, NRM party co-operation agreement a chance to bear fruit as opposed to pushing it to fail against the national interests.
“Fortunately from Mao’s own communications, it seems he has been involved in this process for almost a year. He is an intelligent person,” Gen. Muntu said.
Describing DP Mao as an intelligent political leader, Muntu said he believes he (Mao) has looked at the advantages and disadvantages at the individual and organizational level.
DP and NRM party signed a cooperation agreement last week during a ceremony held at State House Entebbe.
President Yoweri Museveni subsequently appointed DP Norbert Mao the Minister for Justice and Constitutional Affairs. He was later vetted by the Parliament.
