FUFA, CAF Collaborate to Streamline Club Licensing with Online Platform

The Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) in collaboration with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has organized a Club Licensing Online Platform (CLOP) National Workshop at Imperial Royale Hotel.

This was revealed by FUFA on Monday, February 26, 2024, on their official X page.

According to the authority, the workshop starts today and focuses mainly on the CAF Club Licensing Online Platform (CLOP), with in-depth training sessions for platform users from the clubs.

Edgar S. Watson, the FUFA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) said that the federation has made progress and they are moving forward.

“On behalf of the secretariat, I want to give you the comfort that our departments are doing their job very well. At some point, I was called ‘Mr. Circular’ as we were implementing licensing procedures. From CAF’s perspective, we have made progress and now we are moving forward,” Edgar said.

Mulindwa Rogers, the executive committee member commended CAF for their commitment to enable the feberation move forward

“I thank CAF for the commitment to enable us to move a step forward. If we follow what they are telling us, we won’t be the same in the next three years,” Mulindwa said.

Additionally Mulindwa said that the old style of carrying paperwork is coming to an end, everything is now going online.

In July 2023, CAF launched the Club Licensing Online Platform (CLOP), a system which allows CAF and the federations to manage the process of club licensing and stadium inspections fully online and electronically.
