Uganda’s First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports Hon Janet Museveni has implored young people to shun homosexuality and those in support of the LGBTQ Movement.

The first lady appealed to the young people not to be enticed by money, favours, or the lies that are being bandied around.

“Homosexuality and all that goes with it is a grievous sin and is condemned even in the Bible,” she said.

This was during a youth convention assembled by Uganda Christian Lawyers Fraternity in partnership with Uganda Youth Forum, hosted by the First Lady at State house Entebbe.

The youth convention run under the theme “WISDOM: A Steadfast Walk On The Sacred Foundations” based on the book of Proverbs chapter 4,  whose central message is that without God, we are nothing.

Janet Museveni  elaborated that wisdom combines morality and intelligence, where she encouraged youth to use that kind of discernment not to conform to the standards of some religious societies that have embraced LGBTQ, reminding them of how God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.

Dr. James Magara, the Chairman Board, Uganda Youth Forum appreciated Hon. Maama Janet Museveni for her tireless and unwavering commitment to the serving the youth of Uganda.

In her conclusive remarks, the First Lady said she will be praying for the youth and the country at large so that the Vice of homosexuality ceases to exist in Uganda.
