EXPOSED: Why Bobi Wine, NUP Leaders Don’t Want Jailed Supporters Freed

The secrets why the opposition National Unity Platform (NUP) party top leadership led by Robert Kyagulanyi, aka Bobi Wine, has blamed their supporters for pleading to charges of terrorism, treason, and unlawful possession of ammunition by the Makindye-based Military General Court Martial based in Makindye have leaked.

Bobi Wine and his stalwarts stormed social media on Tuesday, October 15th, 2024, expressing anger specifically against Olivia Lutaaya, whom they accused of having been used by the state to influence her colleagues into accepting the offenses.

Kyagulanyi described this as a typical betrayal of what NUP and its leadership believe in and have been championing for years.

A source has revealed how the jailed NUP supporters have confessed to the state how they were being used and planted by the NUP leaders into violent crimes that have led them to prison.

“Bobi and team are ever on a plane enjoying dirty money solicited from anti-Uganda activists and NUP diaspora people in the name of fighting for the freedom of these incarcerated criminals,” one suspect broke down in tears.

Sadly, Bobi Wine and the team have not done anything to get these people out of jail or in any way assist their suffering families.

The group further revealed how they were misled into terrorism activities by Kyagulanyi and his team, a move that got them into prison.

Olivia Lutaaya has also told security how NUP leaders would visit prisons and courts to convince them not to plead guilty because it could taint the party image and jeopardize their source of income.

Lutaaya has also urged fellow NUP supporters who have been misled or about to succumb to these leaders’ games that they are dealing with businessmen and should therefore tread carefully.

“It is disheartening that these leaders have flown their families abroad, bought houses there, and their children are enjoying first-world schools as we the misled supporters are languishing in prison and our children are out of schools,” Olivia Lutaaya broke down in tears while boarding the prison truck.

She further revealed that Bobi Wine, Lewis Rubongoya, Nyanzi, and others personally mobilized her group into planting petrol bombs within Kampala, among other things.

Kyagulanyi has also been blamed for only negotiating the release of his close friends, including fellow singer Nubian Li, Selector Dave from prison, and personal bodyguard Eddie Mutwe, who were arrested together with the Lutaya’s group.
