The National Unity Platform are holding a press briefing following multiple issues and fights ongoing in the party in Kamwokya.

The shocking part is that all the journalists that have accessed the press briefing today have been disarmed of their handsets, phones, tabs and recorders.

As we speak their phones are unreachable and others go unanswered.

The puzzling part is that, that was the only condition for entry.  No one knows exactly what is going on or what they are doing with our fellow journalists.

However, sources in Kamwokya say that following the leaking of the Marijuana scandal and stories of Homosexuality about Bobi Wine’s son, NUP is trying to bribe and hinder Journalists from making Bobi Wine look bad.

Other sources however indicate that some journalists could be in trouble following the several objective stories they write about NUP. “The journalists are here to be warned, bribed and asked to join the radical teams of bloggers that leave by the pay check of NUP,” a source has said.

More speculations have been made on what could be the possible reasons they are curtailing the journalists from their freedom of communication and expression using their phones. In fact some journalists use their phones to record news but that was not entertained.

In the recent past, NUP has been in an entangled position with several administrative, leadership, social and financial fights. The fights between Mathias Mpuuga and Bobi Wine, the Cash offerings to Bobi wine which have been a thorn among NUP MPs, the fight with other opposition Parties, disagreements about Bobi Wine’s Lavish living expense with his family and the erupting embarrassing sodomy and drug abuse behaviours of Bobi wines son who is now under the last time warning from St. Mary’s College Kisubi (SMACK) where he goes to school.

Whether these could be some of the critical reasons why they have ‘abducted’ the journalists, this website has not yet learnt.  However, the activities going on with a restriction placed on the journalists is an indication of a very fishy activity going on. Watch the space!
