BREAKING NEWS:Motor Rally Champion Charles Muhangi Dead

Former motor rally Champion Charles Muhangi has been found dead today December 6, 2018 at his home in Buziga.

Vincent Ssekate, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Spokesperson has confirmed. Ssekate said that Muhangi was found dead in his bed at his home in Buziga and that CID detectives have been dispatched to his home to investigate what could have happened.

Muhangi Charles, a famous motorsport driver and a director of Horizon Coaches has recently been involved in a wrangle over commercial buildings with Drake Grace Lubega in Kampala city.

In the dispute, Drake and  businessmen Mansur Matovu, Alias Young recently  said they were saving their buildings from being taken over “illegally” by Muhangi, who they said had already forced them out of Qualicel Bus Terminal, Qualicel building and Nabukera Plaza.

Muhangi claimed ownership of the 0.518 hectare of the land on which Qualicel Bus Terminal, Qualicel building and Nabukera Plaza. He also insisted that he legally owned the land on which the buildings sat and advised both Mr Matovu and Mr Lubega to cooperate and vacate peacefully since he had defeated them in court.

The President had met the three businessmen on November 13th at State House to try and resolve the standing dispute.

The rumour-mill is that witchcraft or poisoning could have been involved. However according to Vincent Ssekate Post mortem results and the investigations from Criminal Investigation Department (CID) will dispel these hear says.

Hon. Mary Karoro who is a cousin to the deceased and other famous Political figures like Hon. Micheal Mawanda his area Member of Parliament have joined other mourners to sympathize with the family.

Hon. Mawanda noted that Uganda has lost an important citizen, investor and friend and called upon the grieved to keep calm.
