Amateur Bobi Wine Recycling Same Old Stale Opposition Antics which Ugandans Got Fed up Of

While the country was still coming to terms with the shocking gruesome revelation by one of his former key confidants, about the manner in which he previously lived his lavish, promiscuous, bloodstained life of butchering innocent ‘stubborn’ revellers at his deadly One Love Beach in Busabala, at the time fame and drug abuse were taking full control of him over the last one decade, Kyadondo East MP Hon Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine mid week treated Ugandans to a cheap melee but forgot to take his futile drama to the theater which he well understands.

He roamed  Kampala streets, one by one, hopping from one motorcycle to another, all efforts aimed at remaining relevant on Uganda’s political arena where he is miserably failing to keep a firm grip.

The events that occurred on Independence Day as Police engaged the musician cum novice politician as he disrupted people’s livelihood in the Central Business District while he played his cat and mouse games, revealed how mushrooming Opposition cliques have learnt nothing and forgotten nothing from previous opposition politicians as far as shaping Uganda’s political landscape is concerned.

BobiWine who had hoodwinked his rogue fans to a concert (which concert was actually never in place) at his deadly Busabala beach, had to suffice means to bounce back to making sensational headlines by tabloids which he himself bankrolls. Having been out of the news for the good reasons for some time, he devised to attract attention on a day the whole nation, both at home and globally, was celebrating her 57th independence from colonial rule.

This didn’t work for him though. Engaging in unpopular running battles with the Police, making a fool of himself as he hopped from one motorcycle to another, thinking he was evading Police’s preventive arrest order, (Police had earlier warned him to desist from hoodwinking the unsuspecting public yet his ‘concert’ had failed to meet the necessary requirements set for a public gathering), showcased his mediocrity in contesting for political space.

The grassroot business person is evidently very tired of cheap politics by self seeking people such as Bobi Wine who live lavish lives but want to deny chance to the hard working and toiling Ugandan seeking to put bread to his table.

Dr Besigye tried this as a way of protest, but he later discovered that it was instead getting detrimental for him as he lost all the support he had garnered over the years.

Businesses at a stand still, shops looted, hoodlums vandalising property because of a certain self seeking politician looking for media attention is the last thing Kampala business people struggling to make ends meet would want.

Bobi Wine has forgotten to pick a leaf from Dr Besigye’s cat and mouse games with Police that eventually led to his dwindling support from the Kampala business class. Sooner than later, all and sundry cursed him.

Phrases like “ffe tufunila wa?” loosely translated as how do we gain out of his (Dr Besigye’s) political drama? become common speech.

In the same sense, the media has been awash with images of Hon Kyagulanyi trampling, then falling into people’s merchandise on the streets of down town Kampala as he made a fool of himself on Independence day as he tried to incite violence and civil disobedience.

As the sellers eagerly waited for a buyer or two, their prospective ‘savior’ was falling into and dismantling their small stock.

What an illusionary leader who doesn’t consider the plight of the common man, but destroy even the little they have left all at the expense of playing to the gallery!

A well to do ‘leader’ who should do better or rather take his drama to the theater than ridicule those who are not from his social class! Uganda’s ‘saviour’ after 2021 who doesn’t fathom that such behaviour is a ridicule to the less privileged, and a disgrace to society!

Bobi Wine needs to bring consequential ideas to the table than misplace his uncouth ‘ghetto’ theatrics which by the way in world history, have never been documented anywhere to have factored in bringing forth the so-called change he claims to stand for.
