The former United States ambassador to the United Nations and former National Security Advisor, John Bolton recently made remarks in an interview on CNN that he had helped plan attempted coups in foreign countries.
Bolton said he had supported a coup in Venezuela which became unsuccessful and many more around the world.
This shows the ignorance of these Western countries towards many developing countries especially the African continent.
It should be noted that the US has participated in the removal of several governments around the world of which many ended in prolonged political turmoil and instability.
The United States started as early as 1953 when it played a big role in the removal of Iranian nationalist Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh, the Vietnam war, Removal of Saddam Hussein in Iraq, it’s invasion of Afghanistan, the Arab Spring, removal and final killing of Lumumba in DRC, Invasion of Somalia, Overthrow and Killing of Muammar Gaddafi in Libya and many more.
The United States influences and supports mostly the Opposition Opportunists who are only power driven and who will serve their interests when they capture power.
Africa has been a big target for these western countries starting from colonisation, Slavery up to the decolonisation process.
Every African should know that our continent have promising economic and demographic trends which has driven it’s emergency as a significant player on the world stage which has made these countries to rush and influence African governments through what they call cooperation like in 2006 China launched the Forum on China-Africa cooperation, In 2019 Russia hosted the Russia-Africa summit in Sochi and so did the US in 2014.
Africa is becoming the main target now because it holds the vast repositories of rare earth elements vital to the production of everything from cell phones and LED screens to energy infrastructure and defence technologies.
More than two thirds of the world’s cobalt-an essential ingredient in lithium ion batteries is in Congo. Around 35% of the world’s bauxite , a key component of aluminium production is found in Guinea. Not talking of the Oil in Nigeria, recently in Uganda and many more minerals in African countries.
Human capital being a greatest asset to Economic growth, in the next 35 years, Africa’s population is expected to double comprising nearly of 30% of the world’s population by 2050.
By 2025, 90 million African households will enter the consumer class contributing purchasing power of $2.1trillion to the global economy.
The continued existence of collaborators of the former colonialists and African governments which are puppets to the West have denied Africa a chance of integration. The Opposition leaders who run to these countries for support and funding promising to be their puppets are the real Judas Iscariot’s of the African continent. The success of the quest for African Unity lies with the Africans.
The term United States of Africa was first mentioned by Marcus Garvey in his poem Hail, United States of Africa in 1924 and was later supported by other African great leaders like Kwame Nkrumah who said, we must unite now or perish at the founding of the Organisation of African Unity in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in 1963.
Africans should revive and continue with the dream of Marcus Garvey, Kwame Nkrumah, Thomas Sankara, Nelson Mandela, Robert Mugabe, Muammar Gaddafi, Yoweri Museveni to unite Africa and resist the decolonisation of the African continent.
These parasites who depend on our resources should be driven out and the Opposition figures who act as their puppets isolated for Africa to gain it’s freedom, Unity and Prosperity.
